A transfer intermediary has revealed talks between Serie A giants Napoli and Girona forward Artem Dovbyk.
Speaking in an interview with Spazionapoli.it via Calcio Napoli 24, transfer intermediary Doğan Ercan confirmed Napoli’s interest and recent contacts with Laliga outfits Girona’s Artem Dovbyk.
The Partenopei scouts are searching for a replacement for Victor Osimhen, who will be heading out this summer. They have come across the Ukrainian forward and have listed him as a transfer target. The intermediary remarked: “Yes, its true. His [Dovbyk] transfer to Napoli is a concrete possibility.”
Doğan Ercan reported that three clubs, including the Neapolitans, are currently pursuing Dovbyk as there have been contacts with his agent. He said: “Yes, Napoli are among these three clubs. There are no other Serie A teams interested in Artem”
Replacing Osimhen with a similar figure will be difficult for Napoli but 19 goals and five assists across 31 league matches makes Artem Dovbyk a serious contender for the striker seat in Naples.
