Why Napoli want Stefano Pioli as manager

Serie A giantts Napoli have crucial reasons to appoint Stefano Pioli as manager for next season.

According to a report by Daniele Longo, there are reasons why Napoli CEO Aurelio De Laurentiis is negotiating intensely with Stefano Pioli’s agents to appoint him as head coach for next season. The outgoing Milan manager is in pole position to replace Francesco Calzona despite running against candidates such as Antonio Conte, Vincenzo Italiano and Gian Piero Gasperini.

De Laurentiis personally likes Stefano Pioli’s coaching style and respects him as he has no extraordinary transfer market demands. Pioli’s salary is much less than that of Antonio Conte as the former Chelsea manager is also expected to want a signing bonus. 

Napoli will restart next season with no Champions League football and coming on the back of a season filled with disastrous performances. Stefano Pioli is the perfect manager to start from scratch because of his patience and man management. 

A three-year contract is ready for the Italian manager as the Partenopei will hope to land him as soon as the season ends.
