Jose Mourinho’s position at Roma now uncertain

Roma boss Jose Mourinho’s future at the club is currently said to be uncertain, after a range of poor results.

The Giallorossi fell to a 3-1 loss to Milan yesterday as Mourinho watched from his box, as he was suspended from the sidelines. Leandro Paredes’ penalty did give Roma hope of an unlikely comeback, but Theo Hernandez’s strike took the tie away from Roma, keeping them at 9th in the table.

La Gazzetta dello Sport now state that Mourinho’s position at Roma is far from certain. He is losing trust with the fans and the club’s owners are increasingly unhappy with how the season is panning out. Mourinho is now said to be increasingly distant from the club.

As now, there isn’t an immediate risk of a sacking but it will be considered if Roma fail to get all three points from games against Verona and Salernitana. If six points aren’t gained from the next two games, the Friedkins could intervene immediately and make a change.
