Juventus interested in Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood

Serie A giants Juventus are interested in the possibility of signing Manchester United outcast Mason Greenwood, who is currently on loan at La Liga side Getafe.

Greenwood has made a mark in his loan stint in Spain and has attracted interest from the likes of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. La Gazzetta dello Sport today have reported about Juve’s interest in the Englishman. The Bianconeri have kept tabs on his situation over the last few months and have looked to seek more information in recent weeks about the player.

He is currently more than just an idea for the Bianconeri, with Greenwood impressing club sporting director Cristiano Guintoli and his right-hand Giovanni Manna. His age and talent impresses Juve but his contractual situation is of even more interest, with his deal at United running out in 2025. The contractual situation is a key reason for why Greenwood is on Juve’s radar.

He could come in as a replacement for Federico Chiesa, as Juve believe that he offers the ability to play out wide and upfront. Felipe Anderson is also a target for Juve but a move seems increasingly difficult and that could lead to Greenwood becoming a much more prominent target.
