Juventus are now very close to sealing a move for Lille centre-back Tiago Djalo.
For a while, it seemed as if Djalo was on the verge on joining Inter when his contract expired in the summer but Juve seem to have stolen a march on their great rivals by attempting to sign him in the January transfer window.
Gianluca di Marzio has now reported that parties have come closer to make sure that Djalo joins Juve. The defenderโs agents are discussing the final details with the Bianconeri, with the player already having given an approval to join the Old Lady this month.
Juve already have an agreement with Lille over a fee worth โฌ3 million plus bonuses and an agreement was reached between the two clubs in recent days, with competition from Inter already ousted.ย
Djaloโs contract at Lille runs out in the summer, which means that he can be signed for a cheap compensation fee. He had been suffering from a serious knee injury for some months and he is now back in action.
