Lazio interested in free agent Anwar El Ghazi

Serie A side Lazio are interested in the possibility of signing former Mainz and Aston Villa winger Anwar El Ghazi.

El Ghazi was released by Mainz recently after he posted a tweet supporting Palestine and he is now a free agent. Il Messaggero (via TMW) have linked the Biancocelesti with a move for the Dutchman today, with the club interested in landing the player.

He could join the club right away this month, with Lazio interested in making the move possible. Having said that, he isn’t the only player being looked at. Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson is the key target, but he would not leave the club this month and would only be a possible summer move.

Bryan Gil has been linked with a move to Lazio, but it is likely that he would stay in the Premier League. In recent days, Jonathan Ikone has also been reported as a target but it has been categorically denied by the Roman club.
