Inter defender Matteo Darmian has hailed the sideโs mentality and togetherness after their solid 1-0 win over Bologna in the Serie A.
Inter had rotated some of their squad today ahead of the upcoming Champions League tie against Atletico Madrid, as the Nerazzurri look to reach the quarter-finals as they look to build on a 1-0 aggregate scoreline.
1-0 is the result that took them through against Bologna as Yann Bisseckโs first half header proved enough for Simone Inzaghiโs side to take their lead at the top of the table to 18 points, with Juventus yet to play tomorrow.
Darmian spoke about the result in a chat with DAZN (via TMW) and hailed the sideโs spirit and togetherness to grab a vital win.
โIt is a very important victory for our journey. It was a difficult match, against an excellent team, but today we were determined and had the right spirit, demonstrating it from the first minute.ย And now letโs think about an important match like the one on Wednesday.โ
Darmian further spoke about the spirit of the side, saying: โWe feel very good, physically and mentally.ย We are good together and we are proving it, we must continue to push until the end of the year to reach our goals.โ
This was Interโs tenth win in a row in Serie A and they have won 13 games in a row in all competitions, which could see them seal the Scudetto soon.
