Milan’s headquarters investigated by Italy’s financial police

Milan’s headquarters in the city are being investigated and searched by the Italian financial police – Guardia di Finanza.

La Repubblica have reported about this, stating that a search is underway at Casa Milan. A notification can be sent to the club’s higher-ups to inform them about crimes about the operations of club owners Red Bird.

In recent months, the Milan prosecutor’s office had launched investigations linked to the transfer of the majority ownership of Milan, which was completed in August 2022, from the Elliott fund to the RedBird fund. It is possible that this transfer of owner is under investigation by the Guardia di Finanza.

Napoli have also been investigated in the past for the move involving Victor Osimhen from Lille. Juventus have previously been handed a points deduction for financial crimes. Inter have also been investigated some while ago, but nothing came of it. Milan, as a result, have joined the list of clubs that are being investigated by the authorities.
