Napoli CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis keen on hiring Vincenzo Italiano as new manager

Napoli CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis is said to be keen on hiring Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Italiano as the club’s new manager and the decision to go for him has been made.

Il Mattino (via CN24) have reported about Napoli’s managerial chase, stating that De Laurentiis sees Italiano as the chosen one to hire in the summer. It is also stated that Italiano is ready to move to the Partenopei, after having previously rejected Napoli.

The expectation is that Italiano will be hired by the club in the summer and there is also talk of the fact that a meeting has taken place between De Laurentiis and Fiorentina CEO Rocco Commisso for La Viola to let Italiano leave. Fiorentina, meanwhile, have already identified Monza boss Raffaele Palladino and Genoa’s Alberto Gilardino as potential replacements for Italiano.

De Laurentiis is keen on making sure that Napoli do not deviate from their 4-3-3 shape and Italiano’s system allows them to do just that.
