Napoli CEO Aurelio De Laurentiis stops interview with Matteo Politano

Napoli CEO Aurelio De Laurentiis burst into Matteo Politano’s pre-match interview ahead of his side’s clash against Barcelona.

According to a report by TMW, Matteo Politano’s pre-match interview with Sky Italia was cut short as Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis interrupted and took his player away before the conference concluded.

This is the Partenopei CEO’s second tensed encounter with broadcasters after he slammed DAZN following the Napoli-Juventus match for installing live broadcasting cameras in the Bianconeri dressing room without permission at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. 

Politano had just finished talking about recovering from personal injuries when De Laurentiis said: “He can’t talk to you….” to end the interview abruptly. 

Aurelio De Laurentiis’ controversies with the media have now taken the European stage after looming around in Serie A. 

Napoli face Barcelona tomorrow in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16. Both teams settled for a 1-1 draw in Naples and now it is time to play the decider.
