Napoli hold key meeting for Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee

Current Serie A champions Napoli have held a key meeting to discuss about the possibility of signing Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee.

The Dutch striker has been linked with a move away from Bologna, as he continues to impress at the Rossoblu under Thiago Motta. La Repubblica today have reported about an update regarding the 22-year-old.

It is stated that the contest for Zirkzee currently firmly involves Napoli and Milan and the Partenopei are strongly in the chase, with Victor Osimhen currently likely to depart for Paris Saint-Germain. Milan initially held a meeting with Bologna for the striker, but Napoli are now looking to overtake the chase.

Last week, a meeting took place between CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis and Bologna to talk about the 22-year-old, with the auction set to start from €60 million. As of now, Milan are ahead in the race but Napoli are also firmly in the chase. It could come down to the player’s will, at the end.
