Current Serie A champions Napoli have held a key meeting to discuss about the possibility of signing Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee.
The Dutch striker has been linked with a move away from Bologna, as he continues to impress at the Rossoblu under Thiago Motta. La Repubblica today have reported about an update regarding the 22-year-old.ย
It is stated that the contest for Zirkzee currently firmly involves Napoli and Milan and the Partenopei are strongly in the chase, with Victor Osimhen currently likely to depart for Paris Saint-Germain. Milan initially held a meeting with Bologna for the striker, but Napoli are now looking to overtake the chase.
Last week, a meeting took place between CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis and Bologna to talk about the 22-year-old, with the auction set to start from โฌ60 million. As of now, Milan are ahead in the race but Napoli are also firmly in the chase. It could come down to the playerโs will, at the end.
