Napoli reach economic agreement for Antonio Conte

Former Serie A champions Napoli have reached an economic agreement to sign Antonio Conte as their manager.

The Italian has long been linked with a move to the Partenopei and while he has previously rejected the club, it seems as if the saga could come to a positive end, with talk suggesting that an agreement has been reached.

La Repubblica (via CN24) report that a meeting took place between new Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna and Conte and it brought about a desired outcome between the parties. Napoli have an economic agreement in place with the Italian, who is expected to earn €9 million per season and a bonus of €1 million if they win the Scudetto.

Conte is now said to have chosen Napoli as his destination and the agreement has come as a great satisfaction for him. Club CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis will now iron out the final details of the move before the deal is fully sealed. There is also an agreement on the staff that Conte will bring to the Maradona and the expectation is that the manager would not ask for any high-profile names.
