Napoli reached general agreement for Antonio Conte

Serie A side Napoli have arrived at a general agreement to land manager Antonio Conte.

Massimo Ugolino of Sky Sports (via Calcio Napoli 24) reports that Napoli have found a general agreement with Antonio Conte, who is expected to take over the head coach role at the Naples-based outfit next season.

The Partenopei president Aurelio De Laurentiis does not want to invest any more time in choosing a suitable manager for his club. Therefore, he has decided to progress with the former Chelsea and Inter Milan coach.

Antonio Conte’s entourage seems to have accepted De Laurentiis’ terms and now the cards are in the latter’s hands to take the final call.

It is clear that the four-time Scudetto winner is in pole position to become the Napoli coach for next season. Stefano Pioli and Atalanta’s Gian Piero Gasperini are also on the list, but it is unlikely for them to overtake Conte.
