Serie A side Napoli are set to seal a move for Aston Villa midfielder Leander Dendoncker this month.
The Partenopei have been on the hunt for a new midfielder and they were linked with a move for Nottingham Forest’s Orel Mangala. But reports in Italy stated that a ‘secret name’ could be on the verge of joining and that has been proved right.
Sky Italia and Gianluca di Marzio have confirmed that Napoli have sealed the deal for the Belgian midfielder already and he will soon arrive in the city to undergo a medical in the next few hours. He will arrive at the club on an initial loan deal with the option to buy him permanently for a fee of around €10 million in the summer.
This season, the midfielder has made 15 appearances in all competitions and he has scored one goal and that came against Manchester United. He has previously plied his trade with Wolves, where he was a vital part of the side.
