PREDICTED LINE-UPS | Lecce v Roma

Roma will aim to put pressure on fourth-placed Bologna with a win when they face Lecce at the Stadio Comunale Via del Mare.

New manager Daniele De Rossi has done a great rebuilding job at Roma since taking over from Jose Mourinho. The Giallorossi are unbeaten in their last nine matches across all competitions and have managed to progress to the Europa League quarter-finals to set up a clash with league counterparts Milan. Roma prevailed in their final Serie A clash before the international break against Sassuolo. The Neroverdi posed a good challenge for the capital outfits but Lorenzo Pellegrini’s 50th minute strike stood the difference between the two sides. Roma fans will keep an eye on Bologna’s game versus Salernitana tomorrow as they could go level on points in 4th place with the Rossoblu if the Granata manage to get a shock victory.

Meanwhile, Lecce will enter this match hoping to gain at least one point as that would help them pull away from a late relegation dogfight. Currently sitting in 13th place in the league standings, the Salentini are just three points clear of the dropzone and they know that losing tomorrow will demoralise the players and their hopes of achieving survival comfortably will suffer a huge dent. Lecce put an end to their five-game winless streak with a 1-0 win over Salernitana in their previous league match. That was also Luca Gotti’s debut game from the sidelines after his appointment following the departure of former manager Roberto D’Aversa, who was sacked after headbutting a player during the match against Hellas Verona.

Here are the predicted line-ups for the match according to La Repubblica:

Lecce (4-2-3-1): Falcone; Gendrey, Pongracic, Baschirotto, Gallo; Ramadani, Blin; Almqvist, Oudin, Piccoli; Krstovic.

Roma (4-3-3): Svilar; Celik, Mancini, Ndicka, Angelino; Cristante, Paredes, Bove; Baldanzi, Lukaku, El Shaarawy.
