Roma nearing move for Leipzig’s Angelino

Serie A side Roma are making quick progress in their move to land left-back Angelino, who is on loan at Galatasaray from RB Leipzig.

Torino were linked with a move for the Spaniard yesterday, but it seems as if Roma have firmly stolen the march on the ex-Manchester City player. Sky Italia state that Roma are quickly progressing in the move and an agreement has already been reached with the full-back.

The Giallorossi want to sign an upgrade and replacement on Leonardo Spinazzola, but they are yet to find an agreement with Leipzig. The idea is to sign him on an initial loan deal with the option to buy him permanently.

Galatasaray have decided to not play him, as playing him for another game would make sure that they would have to pay a fee to sign him permanently. Roma have now raced ahead of the likes of Torino, Marseille and Villarreal and they seem all but set to sign him.
