In a season break that saw many Serie A clubs change managers, Roma arguably pulled off the biggest move, bringing in Gian Piero Gasperini from Atalanta. They have been quite active in the market but Gasperini is still publicly insistent that they need more.

How have they done? :
It is fair to say that all the signings that Roma have already made in this window are high-risk, high-reward signings. All 4 of the players are young and have quite a high potential but presently none of them are quite the finished article. Evan Ferguson might be on loan but pre-injury he had some great performances in the Premier League. Give. Gasperiniโs track record with strikers, he could make something special out of the Irishman.
What remains to be done? :
Thereโs quite a bit that remains in this window. Inter have bid for Manu Kone and although Roma want to keep him, the situation could develop. Roma have put in a bid for Jadon Sancho with Juventus and Inter too rumoured to be interested in the player. If they fail to sign him, they will have to act quickly to add another attacking player. The Artem Dovbyk situation is also developing with it looking increasingly likely the the Ukrainian will not be at the club next month. They are reportedly close to loaning in Leon Bailey from Aston Villa,
