Serie A side Atalanta are yet to make a major attacking signing this summer and are now interested in a move for Comoโs Assane Diao.
Gianluca Di Marzio has reported about the link, making it clear that the Como star is emerging as a target for the Bergamo club. It remains to be seen if the lakeside outfit will consider his exit or not but an attempt could soon be made.
Tuttomercatoweb report that a move is about to put forward by Atalanta, even if Diao isnโt formally up for sale. Cristiano Guintoli is keen and is already working on putting together a deal for the attacker.
A move will likely be quite complex and this is down to the costs.
Como president Mirwan Suwarso has been clear that they are in no need to sell, having previously a major offer from England for Diao himself. This is likely to ring true in this case and if their demands remain the same, Atalanta will struggle to sign the Senegal international.
The 20-year-oldโs current contract at Como runs out in 2029. So even from a contractual perspective, Como are under no pressure to sell him and are in a very comfortable position.
