Chelsea poised to make Strahinja Pavlovic approach

Milan defender Strahinja Pavlovic has enjoyed a resurgence of sorts in Serie A this season after a rather disappointing 2024/25 campaign. Chelsea are now expected to make an approach for him.

This isnโ€™t the first time the Blues have been linked with the Serbian, with the first suggestions going back some weeks.

Daniele Longo has now reported that the centre-backโ€™s situation is far from certain at Milan. The Rossoneri ideally want him to stay and have been trying to extend his contract. His current deal runs out in 2028 and attempts are ongoing to keep him at the San Siro until 2031.

But Chelsea can disrupt this and are actually expected to come forward for the left-sided defender in the summer. This can cause problems to Milan, especially as Pavlovic has grown quite a bit in Max Allegriโ€™s back three setup.

He has impressed with his ability to carry the ball forward, recently scoring a thunderbolt. Defensive concerns do exist but it is fair to say that the player has showcased his utility in more ways than one.
