Inter agree personal terms with Sassuoloโ€™s Tarik Muharemovic

Serie A league leaders have been working on a move for Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemovic for many weeks now. The Bosnian has been one of the best defenders in the league this season and he could be edging closer to a move to the Nerazzurri.

The defender earned global acclaim when Bosnia knocked Italy out of the FIFA World Cup playoffs last month. He put in a spectacular performance, reinforcing his qualities.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have now reported that Inter have taken the first step towards signing Muharemovic. They now have a draft agreement over personal terms with the player and his entourage, as they attempt to beat competition from other clubs.

This is seen as an important step, with the second stage likely to be formal discussions with Sassuolo.

The Neroverdi are in no hurry to sell him, though. While they would love to help Muharemovic move to Inter, the wait is ongoing to sell him to the highest bidder. Juventus are also interested and have a sell-on clause which can reduce how much they end up paying to Sassuolo.
