Roma close to announcing Claudio Ranieriโ€™s exit

Serie A side Roma have found themselves in the middle of chaos in the last few days. Initially, it seemed like Claudio Ranieri would escape the situation unharmed but he is now set to be sacked.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the Italianโ€™s exit from the chief advisor position at Roma should be made official soon.

Even if the Friedkin ownerships felt reassured in the last few days and were happy to continue, they have decided to sack Ranieri. His current contract runs out in the summer of 2027 but it will now be cut short this month.

This will mark the end of his relationship with Roma, having been the manager for three months last season too.

Gian Piero Gasperini would breathe a huge sight of relief with this too. It suggests the club ownershipโ€™s intention to carry on with Gasperiniโ€™s project and trust him with everything they have.
