Serie A side Juventus remain in the hunt for a new goalkeeper. They have had several options on the table but they continue to make in-roads in a move for Aston Villaโs Emi Martinez.
The Argentine is playing at the World Cup for his national team but the Italian press has always felt his future could be up in the air. They believe he is happy to join Juve too.
TuttoJuveโs Mirko di Natale reports the Old Ladyโs attempts havenโt stopped. They have made new contact with Aston Villa for his possible signature this week.
Efforts are underway to make sure that the Villansโ price tag reduces but it is still at over โฌ10 million. That is where it is at but attempts could still keep going, with Tottenhamโs Guglielmo Vicario still very much an option.
Meanwhile, Juve could also soon speak to Michele Di Gregorioโs agent to sort out his future.

A lot of this seems agent driven as the English media has never spoken in detail about Martinezโs future. This suggests Aston Villa are quite calm and are underย no pressure to execute Martinezโs sale.
