Whilst the winter transfer window is seemingly near, the Bianconeri seek additional reinforcements in the midfield department as Juventus have began strategizing an assault for Marseille central-playmaker veteran Pierre Emile Hojberg.
With the Turin based club having missed out on Franck Yannick Kessie and Leon Goretzka, coach Luciano Spalletti is still lacking the presence of a leader in the middle of the park, a holding-midfielder that can dictate the play and provide stability within the squad through experience, composure, and a solid presence.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Juventus remain keen on acquiring the profile of a midfielder that Spalletti has desired since July and have deemed the Danish international as their primary target.
As it stands, Marseille are currently undergoing a crisis where they sit in 17th place with only a single win out of their first five outings, finding themselves within the relegation zone.
With Pierre-Emile Hojbjergโs contract set to expire in June 2028, as well as the current state of the French giants, a January transfer has become a concrete possibility. Juventus is reportedly prepared to offload Dutch international Teun Koopmeiners following his underwhelming performances since arriving from Atalanta for a โฌ60 million fee.
