Serie A side Juventus believed they made key progress in a move for Franck Kessie but the deal fell through, with the player having joined Atalanta. Now the Bianconeri are pushing for Tottenhamโs Pape Sarr.
A host of clubs have been linked with the midfielder and now, Juventus have joined the race.
Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that a loan deal is being considered with Tottenham. Juve have made initial contact with the London club over a move and there is belief Sarr could be a surprise signing for Luciano Spallettiโs side.
Juve are now trying to race ahead of competition, with other clubs also keen, with the Senegal international also looking to move on for regular game time this season.
Mirko Di Natale adds more information, clarifying that Tottenham have opened up to Sarrโs loan exit with an option to buy.
Nottingham Forest are one of the interested clubs, with Monaco also in the race.
Signing Sarr could be a significant coup for Juve, who will offer the player regular football, amidst doubts around Teun Koopmeiners and Khephren Thuramโs injury. His athletic abilities have always shined through at Tottenham and that will come in very handy in Italy, with the player very good at operating as a number eight.
