Right-back Dodo has been on the verge of leaving Fiorentina this summer and Nottingham Forest have now made another push to sign the Brazilian.
The Tricky Treesโ initial offer for the player was rejected, with the playerโs contract running out in 2027. This has left Fiorentina under pressure to sell him for the right amount.
Corriere dello Sport โ via LabaroViola, report that Nottingham Forest have now raised their offer, putting forward โฌ9 million plus bonuses of โฌ2 million to sign him. Their previous approach had them offer โฌ9 million in total and this included bonuses too.
The new offer has come close to Fiorentinaโs demand too, as it stands at โฌ10 million right now. It remains to be seen if the deal closes or not, especially as Olympiacos have also joined the race for the right-back.
Gianluca Di Marzio adds on, noting that Nottingham Forest are expecting a quick response from Fiorentina. They are prepared to move on, if that doesnโt happen, having identified possible replacements already.
This would put pressure on La Viola due to Dodoโs contract situation, unless they end up tying him down to a short-term renewal at some point.
