Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa has become an icon for Napoli in the last few seasons, winning two Serie A titles since joining from Fulham.
There have recently been doubts about his future in Naples, with his current deal running out in 2027. This led to links with Turkish clubs and even Sunderland, causing some alarm at the Partenopei about the possibility of losing the Cameroonian.
Now, that casualty could be avoided.
Il Mattino โ via AreaNapoli, report that Napoli and Zambo Anguissaโs entourage are closing to shaking hands over a three-year deal, which will expire in 2030.
The foundations of the deal were late in the second half of last season. The playerโs agents were hosted by Napoli, with the midfielder expected to remain a key player in the project. The 30-year-old has never hidden his desire to continue and his wish is about to come true.

Deal may not be a great decision
Zambo Anguissaโs contributions at Napoli canโt be questioned but he is now 30 and injuries have started piling up. This was clear last season, when his game time was considerably limited under Antonio Conte.ย
That should be seen as a red flag by the Partenopei, who are committing to him for the long-term. But the decision could backfire, especially if a sale isnโt made anytime soon.
