Serie A side Venezia have been making some good moves in the transfer market and have made significant progress in a deal for ex-Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Tuttomercatoweb have reported that a move for the Japanese is quite close already. Venezia are one step away and appear set to beat competition from a host of other clubs as theyโve moved first.
A three-year deal already exists between the parties, with Tomiyasu set to earn โฌ1 million per season. He will also earn bonuses depending on the number of times he plays for the club. The deal was on hold earlier as Venezia were considering other transfers but they have now proceeded with it.
Sassuolo had also tried to sign him but injury problems forced Venezia to accelerate the deal, with Tomiyasu set to return to Italy after a two-year spell at Bologna. Injuries have held his career back since the end of his time at Arsenal but things appear back on track now.
