As they prepare to face Inter in the Champions League on Tuesday, Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde praised Inter, singling out their in-form striker Lautaro Martinez for special attention.
โI expect a great Inter,โ Valverde said at his pre-match press conference. โWeโre playing at San Siro, it will be an important and difficult game. Even though we have qualified, we still have to be competitive.
โWe havenโt won here in the past, but we hope to do so this season and we know there will be a great atmosphere,โ he continued before going on to admit how much he has been impressed by Martinez.
โHe is a great player and heโs having a great season,โ Valverde said of the Argentinian. โHe is quick and strong. He scored a great goal in the first game at the Camp Nou and I know he is comfortable with [Romelu] Lukaku, theyโve found the right system to help Inter.ย
