Fiorentina invest in land for new training centre

Fiorentina have officially announced the purchase of land in the Bagno a Ripoli area, where a new training centre and the club’s new offices will be built.

The new facility will house the men’s, women’s and youth teams and will be the second-largest in Italy with the aim of increasing the overall value of the club as it moves forward under owner Rocco Commisso.

“I am proud and excited to announce this new chapter in the history of our club,” the Mediacom owner told the Fiorentina official website. “After buying the club on June 6th 2019, strengthening the team during the summer and entering the Mediacom sponsorship, we are now making another major investment which we believe is crucial for Fiorentina’s growth and will become an asset for the fans and the Florence region.

“Since day one I have always said that I wanted to get things done quickly and the signing of this agreement is proof that when everyone wants to achieve something and works together, it is possible to do things fast and efficiently.”

It’s hoped that the new facility will be up and running in just 12 month’s time.
