Asked about the constant discussion about following in Andrea Pirlo’s footsteps, Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali believes he has much more in common with a former team-mate of the AC Milan and Italy legend.
“It doesn’t bother me to be compared to Pirlo, but I believe that we are very different because he had an indescribable technique and quality,” Tonali told RAI Sport. “I consider myself more like [Gennaro] Gattuso but more technical. He was always my idol.”
