Brescia owner Cellino on Tonali: “I’d like to see him at Roma or Napoli.”

In an interview with Tuttosport Brescia owner Massimo Cellino discussed the imminent departure of young midfielder Sandro Tonali, linked in recent weeks to Milan.

“A big club came to me in January saying they wanted Tonali. I didn’t look at numbers, I just asked a single question: would you play him in Champions League? They said they would leave him at Brescia until the end of the season, I said in that case I’ll have him by then so we can talk about it again in July.”

“With Nainggolan, in my Cagliari days, I said no to Juventus’ money because I was convinced that Radja needed the heat of Rome and I was right. Tonali is more of a cold boy, from the north. But on the inside he is sentimental. That’s why, as a romantic, I’d like to see him at Roma or Napoli. But it’s unlikely to happen, either way I’d prefer that he stay in Italy.”
