Ibrahimović set to extend Milan stay until end of season

Gianluca Di Marzio reports today that Milan has reached an agreement to extend Zlatan Ibrahimović’s contract, at least until the end of the current Serie A campaign. The Swede returned to his former club this past January, scoring four goals in all competitions so far. Although he is currently out injured, he is expected to return to action imminently to play out the rest of the season under Rossoneri colours. Nevertheless, his future beyond this season remains unclear.

Lucas Biglia and Giacomo Bonaventura are also expected to sign on until August 31, with an official announcement set to take place on Monday. The loan deals of Simon Kjær, Alexis Saelemaekers and Asmir Begović are also set to be extended.
