In a statement released this afternoon, the Italian FA have announced that Coverciano, the complex which houses its seat and the national football centre in Florence, will now be open to Covid-19 patients. The facility will now be managed by a local health organisation and be renamed ‘The Home of Solidarity’.
The 54 rooms will be used to house patients who have recovered clinically, but are still testing positive and are unable to return home.
