Fiorentina director general on Vlahovic: “We hope to reach an agreement.”

Fiorentina director general Joe Barone has spoken about Dusan Vlahovic’s future at La Viola, confirming that the club is in talks to extend the Serbian’s contract.

Barone spoke to TGR Rai Toscana from the club’s training camp in Moena and he was asked about the future of Vlahovic and any updates about his potential new contract.

He claimed: “Vlahovic is a Fiorentina player, he is very important, we are continuing to communicate every day and obviously we hope to reach an agreement with him as soon as possible.”

Vlahovic recently scored as many as seven goals for Vincenzo Italiano’s men in a friendly against amateur football club Polisportiva C4 Foligno. He scored all those goals in a single half.

His current deal at Fiorentina runs out in the summer of 2023 and he earns only €400k per season in his current contract and it has been reported previously that Fiorentina could offer over €1.2 million per season in his next contract, amidst interest from clubs at home and abroad.
