Inter record losses of €245.6 million

Reigning Serie A side Inter have recorded losses of €245.6 million and it is the highest-ever recorded loss for a Serie A club.

The losses of €245.6 million tops the losses of €210 million that Juventus recorded and the report by the Nerazzurri has been submitted to the board of directors and it is now subject to being approved by the shareholders.

The club have confirmed that a major reason for the losses was the pandemic and the closure of stadiums, that came as a result of all that. All of those things led to reduced income from the club’s sponsors as well.

The club have also stated that the new season has been positive in a financial sense and optimistic signs are already there because of the re-opening of the stadiums and global sponsorship deals.
