Inter set to hold Lautaro Martinez contract talks, still a distance between two parties

Inter are now set to hold talks regarding a new contract with the agent of Lautaro Martinez today.

La Gazzetta dello Sport today describe Martinez’s agent Alejandro Camano as a ‘tough nut to crack’, with the Argentine striker now demanding a wage of €7 million per season. Martinez wants to stay at Inter, who want to keep him and that is clear from the fact that they rejected approaches from other clubs this summer.

Camano will arrive in Milan in the morning today to hold talks regarding a new deal, with the Nerazzurri willing to offer about €5 million per season right now.

The meeting in the morning will not be decisive but it will lay down a marker anyway. There has been a lack of communication between the two parties ever since Martinez changed his agent to Camano and the Argentina international was willing to sign a deal worth €4.5 million per season when he was tied to his previous agent.

Things have now changed but one thing is for sure – Martinez will stay at Inter regardless of whether Atletico Madrid make an offer or Tottenham increase their bid to €90 million.
