The Italian media has criticised Chelsea and Azzurri midfielder Jorginho for his performance against Switzerland for Roberto Manciniโs side.
Jorginho featured on the base of the midfield on Sunday and on top of coming up with an unimpressive performance, he also missed a penalty. He stuck to his hop, skip and jump routine but Yann Sommer anticipated the spot-kick well.
La Repubblica have given him a match rating of 4.5 and have come up with scathing criticism for him, claiming that like his blond hair, Jorginho is also turning to grey.
Corriere della Sera have described it to be a โbad nightโ for the midfield orchestrator too. Il Messaggero have meanwhile, stated that it was โnot a Ballon Dโor performanceโ from the player and gave him a disappointing rating of 5.
