Max Allegri on Ronaldo: “He can’t just be a goalscorer.”

New Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has recently talked about Cristiano Ronaldo and his role for the Bianconeri in the upcoming Serie A campaign.

Allegri was asked a variety of questions during his first press conference as the returning Old Lady boss and the future and situation of Ronaldo was a key pointer.

When talking about the Portuguese, Allegri stated: “Ronaldo is an extraordinary player and an intelligent guy. We talked as we talked with other players and I told him that it will be an important season, he will have a completely different and greater responsibility than three years ago.

“He can’t just be a goalscorer, I expect him to take responsibility as the man he is. I can only imagine the difficulties that have been here over these two years ”

It has been previously claimed by Corriere della Sera that Allegri could use both Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala in the same system by accommodating them in a 4-2-3-1 shape.

Elsewhere, Corriere Torino had stated that Ronaldo’s potential move to Paris Saint-Germain depends on the future of Kylian Mbappe. The Portuguese has arrived at the Continassa for training and we’ll know more about his future in the next few days.
