Milan ‘confident’ of landing Diogo Dalot, player ‘pressing’ for Man Utd exit

Stefano Pioli’s Milan are confident of closing the deal for Manchester United full-back Diogo Dalot and they would now sign the player on a loan deal with the option to buy him permanently.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported about Milan’s chase of the Portuguese right-back, claiming that Pioli and his staff were impressed by Dalot’s versatility and the fact that he settled into life quickly at the Rossoneri while playing in a squad with a young spine.

Talks with Man United are said to be progressing smoothly and Dalot would be happy to play as an understudy to Davide Calabria. There is confidence at Milanello that they can acquire an agreement with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side soon.

Milan don’t have any alternatives for the right-back spot yet, as a result of the confidence they have in making a move happen and because Dalot is also ‘pressing’ for a summer move. The report claims that the move could happen towards the end of the transfer window.
