Milan are said to be eyeing a loan move for Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey and this could allow the Bianconeri to go through with a move for Miralem Pjanic.
La Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition has reported about Milan’s interest in Ramsey today, saying that the Old Lady are looking to thin down their squad and reduce the burden on their wage budget especially if they want to bring Pjanic back this summer. As a result, the idea of Ramsey heading to Milan on loan has emerged.
Ramsey is said to be finding himself in the sidelines of Massimiliano Allegri’s project and at Milan, he would find himself with players that he knows well and that includes Olivier Giroud, with whom he won multiple trophies at Arsenal.
The economics of the deal are intriguing, as Ramsey’s contract allowed him to take a salary bump from 2021 onwards and he’s earning €12 million a season and if not for the tax reductions, he could’ve been earning €16 million a season. A salary arrangement between the two clubs could see them pay 50 percent of the €12 million wages and this will make it a ‘low cost’ purchase.
This is a deal which could conclude without too much difficulty and Stefano Pioli is looking to use him in varying roles in midfield.
