Milan fined for irregularities in Calabria contract negotiations

Milan have now been fined because of irregularities present in their new contract for defender Davide Calabria.

FIGC have recently confirmed that Calabria and the Rossoneri have have now received a fine because of the negotiations which saw Milan discuss new contract terms with the Italian.

The fine pertains to the fact that Calabria’s agent Miguel Alfaro Garcia didn’t have the neccessary regulatory requirements to represent the player. Garcia hadn’t registered to represent the player when the talks for the new deal actually took place and as a result, Ricky Massara has also been fined because he didn’t verify the agent’s status.

The idea was to extend the player’s deal by 2025, but the player will now pay €7500 as fine to FIGC.
