Milan look to adjust Bennacer salary, no decision made about release clause

Milan are looking to adjust the salary of midfielder Ismael Bennacer and no decision has been made about the release clause yet.

Daniele Longo has stated that Bennacer is very happy at Milan right now and he is increasingly convinced by the project at the club. Requests have arrived in recent weeks but Bennacer has consistently indicated his desire to stay at the club.

While Milan don’t feel the urgent need to extend his deal, they would like to adjust his salary as he currently earns only €1.5 million per season and since there has been interest from clubs, they don’t want to lose him because they pay him low wages.

They’ve not taken any decision about the release clause yet – as to whether they intend to remove it or not. His current deal has a release clause of €50 million and it will remain active.
