Napoliโ€™s Koulibaly on racist abuse: โ€œI couldnโ€™t sleep for two days, no problem in meeting the guy.โ€

Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly has talked about how he dealt with racist abuse that he suffered after the clubโ€™s Serie A game against Fiorentina.

Koulibaly, along with teammates Victor Osimhen and Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, suffered racist abuse after Napoli had beaten La Viola in Florence.

Ahead of Napoliโ€™s Europa League game, Koulibaly spoke at the press conference and talked about racism. The Senegalese star stated: โ€œI received many messages from public figures in Italy that made me very happy. Iโ€™m sorry forย what happened to that boy, I didnโ€™t sleep for two nights, I thought I was wrong. Iโ€™m so sorry.ย

โ€œMany people have also called me from Florence asking me to meet this guy. For me, there would be no problems, it would be a nice way to understand what happened in his head. The fight against racism is a fight that I really care about and we must continue to fight.โ€
