PSG pair Florenzi and Verratti to miss Italy trip to Lithuania through injury

Sky Sport report this evening that Paris Saint-Germain’s Alessandro Florenzi and Marco Verratti will both return to France tomorrow after picking up injuries, ruling them out of the Azzurri’s trip to Lithuania this week.

The full-back withdraws from the Italy camp as a precaution following muscular fatigue, while the midfielder misses out through bruising on his left thigh which he picked up during the match against Bulgaria.

As well as the two PSG men, Roberto Mancini will have to go without Freiburg man Vincenzo Grifo, who returns to his club as a result of Covid-19 restrictions in place in Germany.

The Azzurri will look to make it three wins in as many games over the course of this international break as they take on Lithuania on Wednesday night, after a pair of 2-0 victories sent them top of Group C.
