Roma boss Mourinho on Milan loss: “If I speak, they will disqualify me.”

Roma boss Jose Mourinho has spoken out after the Giallorossi fell to a disappointing yet controversial 2-1 loss to Milan in Rome.

While Milan went ahead through Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Swede won a controversial penalty that Franck Kessie scored through. Stephan El Shaarawy pulled one back for Roma after Theo Hernandez’s sending off but Roma were denied a penalty in the last minute, when Simon Kjaer had kicked Lorenzo Pellegrini.

Mourinho spoke at the press conference after the game and stated: “I want to be on the bench on Sunday and I don’t want a disciplinary action against me. That’s why I don’t want to talk.

“I congratulate Milan, who won. Seeing that there is no respect for the Roma players is hard, respect that we have is the respect that everyone should have but it is not like that.

“In a game where we did not play well in the first half and against a good team, there was no respect for the Roma fans.”

Roma remain fourth in the league, while Milan are now level on points with Napoli once again and  both of them have 31 points each.
