Zlatan Ibrahimović signs Milan contract extension

Milan have announced the contract extension of striker Zlatan Ibrahimović for an additional campaign, taking the Swede’s second spell with the Rossoneri to two and a half seasons. 

Ibrahimović arrived in January of 2020 and made an instant impact with 10 goals in the second half of the 2019/20 season.This season, the striker has been a crucial part of Milan’s title challenge, as the club’s top scorer in the league with 15 goals, despite missing large parts of the season through injury.

The forward, who will turn 40 before the end of his new deal, had also recently made his return to the Swedish national team after a five-year absence, and is set to play at this summer’s Euros.
