Agent of Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic: “€100 million too much for him”

The agent of Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has stated that since the Serie A side have not won major trophies, wanting €100 million is too much for the Serbian.

Milinkovic-Savic has been linked with a host of clubs this summer. Juventus were interested early on in the transfer window and Manchester United drew fresh links over the last few weeks.

The midfielder’s agent – Mateja Kezman, spoke to Corriere dello Sport recently (via TMW) and he talked about his relations with Claudio Lotito and Igli Tare and the Roman club’s asking price for the midfielder and why it is an unfair price-tag currently.

Kezman stated: “I often talk to Lotito, he understands us, but we understand him too. Sometimes I get angry about his decisions. He invested, helped Sergej together with Tare and Inzaghi to make him one of the best. Lotito decides for his club.

“He was talking about €100 million and if you look at how Sergej plays, maybe he was right. But Lazio have not won great trophies in Europe, so I can say that €100 million is too much. I repeat, he is the boss. The player has a top contract, we respect him.”

Milinkovic-Savic was very impressive for Lazio last season and he was one of the best players in the Serie A in the campaign. He scored 11 goals and racked up as many assists under Maurizio Sarri. He has already picked up two assists this season and caught the headlines with his amazing pass for Felipe Anderson in Lazio’s recent 3-1 win over Inter.
