The agent of Morocco’s World Cup star Sofyan Amrabat has revealed that he gets calls from clubs for his client regularly these days.
While Amrabat hadn’t made much of an impact in his first season at Fiorentina, he has impressed this season in the absence of Lucas Torreira and he has now been a key player for Morocco in their march to the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup, garnering praise from many.
In an interview with SOS Fanta recently, Amrabat’s agent Mohammed Sinouh has spoken about the situation of his client and potential interest from other teams in recent weeks.
He said: “I can confirm that every day I receive many calls from the clubs for Sofyan . The whole world saw that he is the best defensive midfielder in the tournament, Sofyan was excellent in the competition.”
“He is a top professional, he is only focused on the World Cup with Morocco and nothing else at the moment.”
Amrabat was so impressive against Spain yesterday that he didn’t lose a single duel for the side and dominated in midfield, while protecting the backline as well.
He has been previously linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, who were close to signing him but the move didn’t materialise as Spurs signed Rodrigo Bentancur instead.
