Giovanni Simeone intends to complete the biggest move of his career this summer, with a bunch of European suitors monitoring the Argentinian.
A report from TuttoMercatoWeb claims that Arsenal have joined the race to land Giovanni Simeone from Hellas Verona this summer. The report understands that the Premier League club has aggressively pushed with their interest in the South American in the recent hours.
A centre-forward, the 26-year-old had a stellar campaign with Hellas Verona last season. In Serie A, the marksman racked up 17 goals and six assists from 36 appearances, finishing fourth in the race for the coveted Capocannoniere.
Hellas Verona, who signed Simeone on a season-long loan deal from Cagliari last summer, are now willing to sign him permanently before selling him at a more profitable price in the approaching summer transfer market.
Juventus have been a long-term admirer of the player, who is understood to be interested in making a move to a club competing in the Champions League next season.
An option to buy in the striker’s contract means Verona will have to pay a fee of just over €10million to Cagliari. Then, the Gialloblu remain determined to accumulate a figure of around €20million from a future sale of the player this summer.
