Arsenal’s on-loan defender Pablo Mari has been involved in a stabbing incident in Milan.
La7, as relayed by Calciomercato, have reported about the incident. They state that an incident took place on the outskirts of Milan earlier today in late afternoon. A 46-year-old man came in possession of a knife after stealing one from Carrefour supermarket at the Milanofiori shopping center in Assago.
The man went on to stab five people with that knife, leaving three of them seriously injured as well. One of those five was Monza and Arsenal defender Mari. The attacker is said to be suffering from a mental disorder. More details are expected to follow soon.
Mari had spent the previous season on loan at Udinese and after that spell ended, he returned to Serie A on an initial loan deal at Monza in the summer transfer window. It is yet to be ascertained as to what the player’s condition is.
